I really want to upgrade my phone since it's been 4 years now. My camera is just awful too and it's really the only camera I have & use.
Would love to hear your thoughts on what phone you like or would recommend?
I was thinking about the Galaxy just because it's a little bigger and I hear the camera is good.
TIA for your help / advice.

I have the Samsung Galaxy 5 and really like it, has a great camera, but my son has the HTC One and his camera beats mine in speed and quality. It's also a great phone according to him. I was reading reviews and these two phones rate highest over all. If you're wanting it as your main camera, you might check out the HTC One.

Galaxy 5 is the one on the Verizon site I was looking at. I have not looked at the HTC, I'll head over and check it out and read some reviews, thank you so much for taking the time to post this
Have a great day.

Samsung Galaxy. Latest model if you are one that wants newest technology. I ain't a cell phone or a smart phone person, but I do follow them a bit. Still scratching my head over the Y some like paying so much more for the other guys devices.

I have the Samsung Note 3 and my daughter has the Galaxy S5. Both are newest models. We both love our phones.
Mine is bigger and has a very good camera, 13 megapixels. My daughter's phone is smaller and has a 16 megapixels camera. I don't know if you can visually tell the difference in pics as we haven't compared them.
My phone also has the S-pen, but to be honest I don't use it very much.
Either one would be fantastic phones!

I have the Samsung Galaxy S5 and like it very much. The camera, which I use a lot, is excellent.
Get a good case (Spigen or Otterbox) cuz they're not cheap!

The best way to compare pixels, when every other component on the camera is equal? Keep making them bigger and bigger and bigger and see which one starts pixelate first. Now this has to have ALL components equal including lens etc. Once pixels get beyond a certain number, in my opinion, it means a lot less than what components make up the rest of the picture/video taking device.

Last week, I received an OTA update for my Verizon Samsung S4. The update went very well from Android Jelly Bean 4.3, to Kitkat 4.4. If I were buying a cell phone, I check the to see how this latest OS installed on a older model or is running on a current model. Samsung makes a phone for each of the major cell phone providers.
