Hi glb, I got a new Acer AMD quad-core laptop that I got from the southern channel. I set it up, connected to the internet right away and have enjoyed using it very much for about a week on and off. When I went to get on it this morning, it would not load my email, would not load the pages that followed entering a password, and wouldn't show streaming video. All I got was a white screen. It still connects to the internet just fine and will go between pages as long as I don't have to enter a password. Also, the little 'waiting' circle stops spinning right after it tries to load the above mentioned pages. I called Acer support and they told me I'm only covered for hardware problems and there would be a charge to help me since they feel it's an application problem. I have no idea where to go to fix an application issue and I really hate to send this back if it's a simple fix that I'm just not tech savvy enough to do myself. Would you have any idea what they might be talking about? They said it sounds like apps are fighting against each other preventing those pages from loading. They asked me if I made any changes to the computer and I said no. I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions you might be able to give me. Thanks so much in advance.
