Yesterday, I updated my Kindle app on my smartphone. When I went back to continue reading, it gave me an error message. None of the books would open anymore. It kept telling me that I needed to go to the Archives and reload them.
I called Amazon. The CS woman told me to uninstall the Kindle app, then reinstall it and everything would work just fine.
So, I went to the Settings and Manage Applications and tried to uninstall it. IT WOULD NOT WORK!!!!!!!
The app is DEFAULTED onto my phone, so it will not let me REMOVE IT! Therefore, I can not re-install it and make it work. So, my Kindle app does not work, unless they release yet another update to fix the problem.
The level of anger and frustration ....UGH!!!!!!!!!
(1) How do I fix this?
(2) Do these updates affect the stand alone Kindle the same way? If so, I am cancelling my order and getting a Nook instead.
