I have a very basic Fujifilm camera, that came with a nice manual. It's very simple and easy to use, but doesn't take good close-up pictures.

I ordered the Olympus TSV, and it came today. It had no manual, only a very basic set up sheet. Since I'm a very novice person when it comes to taking pictures, I need some help.

I put the battery and SD card in the camera, and the camera did not turn on. So I'm assuming the battery needs to be charged. The charger comes with a USB cable, so I followed the picture directions to connect the camera to the USB cable and charger, and put the charger in the AC outlet. There is no light on the charger or camera to show that the battery is charging. If you received the Olympus TSV, did you have to charge the battery before being able to use the camera? If you charged the battery, how long did it take to complete charging?

I'm sure I'll have more questions once I can get started taking pictures. I'm particularly interested in taking close up pictures (good quality).

Thanks for any help you can give me.
