Re: Okay, I gave up....done with Windows 10 reinstalled Windows 7

When microsoft offered the windows 10 os I never it would be so microsoft oriented in taking off at least for me everything non mircrosoft and I really didn't have that much stuff mainly itunes and google chrome.   My computer works fine but I had windows 7 and now that I have 10  I don't get the big deal about it and would grade 7 as the better of the two.

Glad you got your iTunes back!

What i decided to do, along with NOT upgrading my existing computers (I have one Win8.1 and two Win7) to Win10, is to order another computer with 8.1 before the prices go up on that OS.

I can deal with 8.1, because I install 'classic shell' so that it looks and operates like Win7.  But I have this weird, sneaking, feeling that Win10 may not be for me - at least not right out of the gate.  Smiley Happy

My only other issue with Win8/8.1 is that they took away the Windows games that were on all my computers up through Win7.   I play solitaire.  But I was fortunate to find out how to get those games added back onto the new computers.  I wonder if they are back with Win10.  I really missed my solitaire until I was able to get it back.

The games are not including in Window 10 for free. You maybe able to buy games at the Microsoft store as an app.

Many of us play games on a smartphone or a tablet.

Good to know.  Thank You!  Smiley Happy

I don't use a smartphone and, what with my arthritis, I couldn't even do the thumb-typing thing anyway.   I suppose I'm in the minority, however, and certainly not in the targeted market for these items so I do get that.

Thankfully, I saved the 'how to add the Win7 games' instruction on one computer and I have the file saved on an external so it takes a hot minute to just add them.

Thank you for instructions on how to get rid of this Windows 10 mess......what the "H" is OneNote......my work e-mail is on gmail (I know, I hate it, too) and I tried to print something off of it and OneNote kept popping up.....my printer works on my Outlook mail and anything else I print, but I couldn't get anything to print off of my gmail......very frustrating.  I'm no expert, but when I bought this pc with Windows 8, I had no problem setting this up including buying my own modem and going wireless, but OneNote makes me crazy.....I'm going back to 8.....

SUCCESS.....back to my 8.1.  The only issue I had was reconnecting my WiFi modem.....needed the security code....luckily, I saved every bit of that info from when I installed it the first time and documented well what every single # was..........hopefully, I'm back to normal.....next computer will be a MAC!

Unless it comes with the computer [windows 10] I will not upgrade. I do not  need all this new technogy . As I posted before I just ordered windows 7, installed  both my Toshiba and HP laptops  which both had 8.1 and they both work fine. I will never buy another windows product again.. I did try to update to win10 but, it would not load all it did was spin for hours on end. What a nightmare!
