Office Starter to full version question

Do I remember correctly that if you have Office, you can add it to another computer? I bought an Acer laptop last month that has the full Office on it. I now have added an Acer netbook.

Can I 'transfer' a copy from the laptop to the netbook?? HOW?? *need specific directions please*.
