Nook battery life???

Does anyone know how long the battery is supposed to last on the Nook HD? I charged it up yesterday to 100% and today it is down to 40% and I haven't used it since charging it. I seem to be charging it every other day whether I use it or not. My Kindle battery lasts much longer.

Just wondering if this is normal and what others have experienced. Thanks for your comments.
