Bought hubby a Body Cam because he likes to walk the trails in the park .
When he plays back the vidoe... ON the device...he has sound.
When I hook it up to our computer to watch them...no sound...
Sound is on both on....on the computer and body cam...
I have no issues when I view video on the SDHC card from our trail cam....only the Body Cam.
When I wrote to Manufacturer...they were no help... ....they said to adjust my computer settings....like what settings do I need to adjust other than makeing sure the volume is up?
Any ideas?

i would start with google + your problem + the brand of camera,
and see what that gives you

Are you otherwise getting sound on your computer? If not, and you have a Windows 10 computer, go to Settings > System > Sound and check the Master Volume.

Yep... have sound with everything else......all my drivers are up to date.
The only You tube video on this camera just shows how to use all the features....no mention about sound.....

@jackthebear suggestion is great.
The camera company may have help on their site in the support area.
This camera may need a small program to decode the sound from the device to your computer.

Some questions that might help me help you.
What's the brand and model of the body cam?
What is the file type/extension of the videos? Does the media player you're using on the computer fully support them?
Instead of connecting the body cam to the computer, have you tried transferring the videos to the computer and playing them from there?
Have you tried inserting the SD card into the computer and playing the videos that way?

My best guess is the camera uses a different codec (program for decoding audio) than your computer currently has available. That's purely a guess at this time however.

Did it come with an install disc? If not visit the manufacturer's website and see if there's any software you need to download to the computer. I'm kind of betting there is.

Take the SD card out of the cam and put it directly into your computer.
