New laptop. Recommendations?

I'm really considering a laptop that will replace my current 5 yr old desktop. Monitor must be at least a 17.3". HD need not be larger than 500GB.

I want one that is, above all, RELIABLE, powered by an INTEL chip. I've pretty much ruled out DELL due to customer service (I've heard). So far, front runner for me is TOSHIBA. Anyone use one of these or have any other suggestions?
