My four - five year old iPad finally died. Luckily for me the newest iPad Pro 2 was released today. It is wonderful. The color is brighter and the response time is so much better. So if your looking for a new iPad this one is great. Can't wait to play with the pen.

I went to our local Apple Store yesterday and visited the 12.9 Pro 2 to make sure it isn't too big for me, and it definitely isn't.

I'm going to get the big iPad because my ultimate plan is to use it to write and store my music on it, and I always keep them for 3 or so years anyway, so it and I will grow older together.

Wifi only, because I can use my phone as a hotspot.

@Meowingkitty- are you buying a pencil and/or a keyboard? I'm definitely getting the pencil because my music composition software requires a stylus, and is said to work very well with the iPencil.

If you're buying a keyboard, which one?

I bought the pen to use with coloring apps. I don't really need the keyboard.

I recently  purchased the mini 4.  Anything over 8 inces is too big for me.  it is also fast as lightning and better than the older ipad air   I had in 2013/14. I purchased the Red case and smart cover and it looks georgious

For one that is important to me, the cameras ( both of them) have been improved to equal what is in the iPhone 7.

There are also some fairly important technical improvements that I don't really understand so I won't even try to explain them.

@violann, thanks for the info.  I recently bought the 9.7" Pro.  I could return it for the new one but I don't think I will bother.  LM

I would have gotten the 9.7, but I had also considered the 10.5. Then when I went to our local Apple store and saw a

l three I decided that the biggie was by far the best for music. I can copy music to play and also compose on it.

Can't beat that!

Hope you conyinue to enjoy yours. They really are fabulous machines!

I have 5 iPads. Have have both iPad Pros. I'm getting the new iPad Pro2 10". Faster chip, better camera, etc. No matter what you have be sure to upgrade to 11 when it comes out this fall. It looks like the best upgrade yet.
