Hi. Just wondering why when I put my Word files on to a Windows 10 computer I no longer have permission to read them. Very frustrating. I have paid for other Microsoft products. I think people need to be made aware that their files will no longer be usable.

You have always needed to have Word or an equivalant program installed to read the files. Your files will be usable when you install the correct program. There are free office suites available for the download. Open Office and Libre Office are the two I have used.
