New Samsung Galaxy S8

My lease is up on my HTC9 phone & I am thinking about the Samsung S8 instead of the new HTC U11. I would appreciate any feedback on either phones. My son is horrified that I am not getting an iPhone, lol. This has been an ongoing debate for years! TIA!

I had a Galaxy5, I loved it.

But I was on an AT&T monthly plan for $80/month and I switched to a pay-as-you-goTracfone.

No comparison, I would take the Galaxy anyday over a Tracfone.

I was considering a galaxy 8. Niece and nephew, teenagers, were mortified. They are Apple lovers too. I have no love for any brand. I need to go and check them out in person one of these days.

I've owned a Galaxy 4, a Note 4, and now I have a Galaxy J7 through Boost Mobile.I I had an iPhone 4 and gave it up after a year. I prefer the design and look of the Galaxy phones and the Android layout. Your best bet is to look at one in person and see if it's the right phone for you.

@GCR18, let's meet up & we will go phone shopping! I am off tomorrow from work so I am going to ck out the two phones. I have had Sprint for years & they take good care of me. I have an iPad & a Mac computer, however I have always had android cell phones. Go figure, lol.

I wanted the Galaxy 8, but I waited until they came out and bought the Edge 7. I saved a few hundred $$$ doing it that way.

I did the same thing when I bought my Galaxy Note phone. I waited until the new ones came out and then jumped on it.

I love Samsung.

My mom has an Iphone and occasionally I have to help her with it. It drives me crazy that there is no "back" button. The new ones might have it, hers is a 5S.

Actually, I'd love to have the new Note 8 coming out, but I will wait a couple years before upgrading again.

I buy my phone straight out and then use Straight Talk's $45 a month plan. Starting next month we will get 8 gb of data. That's a good deal in my book.

I have a Note 5 from Verizon. I really like this phone, because the display is large and bright. Samsung and Verizon updated the phone to Android 7.0.

I will not need a phone until the Android 8 or the battery needs replacement.

I went from Tracfone to iPhone through 4, 5, 5S and 6S. I also have an iPad. But my next phone will most probably not be an iPhone, due to a combination of the cost ($1000 for a phone over my dead body), the fact that the antenna in my 6S sux and my phone is useless anywhere but on the road, and the fact that the last 2 iphones have brought nothing really new and cool to the table that Android phones don't already have for less money. I also get sick of all the updates.

In another year, I'll be looking. Right now I'm thinking it'll be a Pixel 2, or a Samsung. Perhaps a high-end LG.
