I tried logging into my yahoo mail account (I have a g mail account as well)....I cannot log in on the new laptop.
The message says the password is invalid, which it is not. I keep a good log of all passwords plus it is stored on the old MacBook so I double checked my records, I am using the correct password...
I have read the troubleshooting page but still cannot get in...any advice? thanks

I've found Yahoo can sometimes be pretty glitchy. You might try changing passwords if will let you do so. If you can log onto your Gmail account, chances are they'll send an email to that account to confirm who you are before they'll let you change it.

@lolakimono....Not that I know of...I just started playing with it tonight. I have not installed anything....I have gotten the gmail account up and running with no problems, it's the yahoo mail account that is giving me trouble.

Are you using Safari or Chrome for your browser?

@stevieb...I did try to change passwords but the problem is my cell does not get texts...so I cannot get a security code to change the password, and it appears as if that is the only way to change the passoword...grrr

I find the Apple computers too expensive, I cannot justify their luxurious price tag. I use an Amazon Fire. Much better than an Apple in my opinion and $1500 cheaper. Apple needs to cut their prices. My grandniece spent a ridiculous fortune on a telephone despite protests from Mom and Dad. Why a 20 year old needs to be carrying around a phone that costs $800 is beyond me.

Try Chrome and see if that resolves your issues.

@Mom2Dogs I listed an alternative email address as the contact method so when I've had to get the code to change my password, they've emailed it to me. It sounds like you're in a Catch 22, because if you can't log in then you can't list a 'recovery' email address. Sorry about all the hassle. The other thing, of course, is that Yahoo is notoriously lacking in customer service. They have a few 'help' features, most of them posts from other customers. You might want to browse them to see if anything useful is noted.
