Netbooks

Are netbooks on their way out? I've become pretty attached to my 17" laptop and was considering getting a netbook- to have a more compact version (with - allbeit- more limited capabilities) for on the road internet connection. There are hardly any on the shopping channels these days!

I guess tablets are the thing now? I'm not a touch screen person though! Any suggestions?
