Need some help with phone choice...

Hi All!

Needing some insights on phones... I have an Ipod touch and LOVE IT! Its 3rd generation and I love to use it to check Facebook, Skype, Email and more. Of course I can only use it like that when I am within wifi range.

Am considering a phone so I could have access ALL THE TIME. Know nothing about data plans and monthly plans and such... Right now I hae a Motorola Trac Fone that is ok but doesn't doo any of the things I want..

I want to be able to take pictures, and post them right away on twitter and facebook.

I travel to Mexico, The Dominican Republic and Jamaica a lot and want to be able to use the phone there to those things..

So any insights and advice on what I should be looking for and what I might expect to pay and any monthly charges I might inccur would be appreciated.
