I'm not very tech savvy. We got Smart Phones last summer and love them. We have been using lots of apps. I'm seeing others use tablets at doctor's appts., etc. for reading, games etc. I use my phone for crosswords, surfing the web, and it would be so much easier to see all that on a bigger screen.

My question is this and it might sound silly, but I'm assuming you do not use the tablet for phone calls, just texting?? Also, I'm guessing the tablet will not replace a laptop computer for word processing, etc. ??

If I just wanted a tablet for looking at websites, (this forum, included!) and puzzles, reading, what would be a good, inexpensive way to go? TIA

Also, If I do get a tablet-how do I add it to my Verizon account, and how much does it cost?
