What is the best wireless printer for my IPad Air 2. For some reason I cannot find one that works well.

@sallyann38, I have always had an HP printer. The one I have now is several years old, HP Envy 5530. When it goes I'll probably buy another HP.

I have an iPad but not the Air 2. I use a Cannon Printer with my ipad. Check Cannon specs to see what they have.

A wireless printer will work w/any device that has wireless capabilities. If it doesn't, it's human error and/or internet/ISP issues.
"For some reason I cannot find one that works well."
Well, it would have helped if you clarified that statement. You provided no info regarding "troublshooting." Like I said above, "human and/or internet/ISP issues."
Did you call the printer's customer support dept? Read your user manual troubleshooting section?
You may not need a "new" printer.
That being said, you need to read the specs to determine if the printer you are interested is right for your iPad. Download the user manual directly from the printer manufacturer site to determine "ease of use" & also read the troubleshooting section of the manual.
Only YOU can decide which printer is best for you. Some printers works better w/Apple products than others. Everybody has their personal preferences. For me it's Epson for their ease of use & excellent customer service.

I just bought an hp laser jet printer within the last 3-4 months and I use my iPad. I believe you can use any wireless printer.

That's not true for iPads. You need to find out if it's compatible with Apple AirPrint. I have a Canon wireless printer and it isn't compatible.

Actually you can through an app from the printer manufacturer and a direct wireless access point that the printer creates.
Look for the wireless icon button. Once you’ve pressed it, navigate to Settings → Wi-Fi and look for an open network that contains your printer’s brand or model name in it.
Most of the major manufacturers have an app for printing with iPhone and iPad.
The above is how my SO prints from my no AirPrint option Epson printer.

I checked out several apps and they did't work with my printer. So, posting all wireless printers will work isn't true especially if you have an older printer. Since I rarely use my iPad, it doesn't matter to me.

HSN has a Canon wireless printer (it's a 'customer pick') as their Today's Special. Might want to take a look. @sallyann38
eta - It's not their TS but it's on sale for $60 (reg. $150).

(thread title only)
I have used Canon for many years and have never had a reason to change.
