Check out Consumer Cellular.  They have two flip-phone options.

when I signed up years ago, I got a free flip phone.  I only use it for emergencies and most of the time it's turned off.  The basic plan is about $12 per month.  No contract.  And the charge lasts for months.

I've never felt the need for a smart phone.
