Chrome books work though the OS, cloud and the Internet  and they are quick and snappy for that reason. I would never go back to a windows device that would be like death to me. A chrome book is not a brand. But, many of the brand names for Laptops sell Chrome books too. Windows works on a  different operating system then a Chrome book so that is why Windows will never work as a Chrome book would just like a Ipad does not have the same operating system as a android device. Also the settings on a Chrome book are a little different. Once you find the settings you are golden. Much love!
