Re: NEW TRACPHONE SET UP -HELP !!!!!!!!

@tends2dogs  try this

How can I find my router password?
In Network and Sharing Center, next to Connections, select your Wi-Fi network name. In Wi-Fi Status, select Wireless Properties. In Wireless Network Properties, select the Security tab, then select the Show characters check box. Your Wi-Fi network password is displayed in the Network security key box.

@eadu4 Where am I doing this?  My computer?  Or just a Google search?  My phone isn't functioning right now during this set up phase.

Make sure you are entering the password correctly.  It is case sensitive and if you enter the wrong case, it won't work.

When I have added new devices to my home network, I enter the router name and password, not the modem.  When I recently bought a new router, I got into the settings and changed the default name and password to the ones used for the old router.   By doing that, I didn't have the reconnect any of my devices.  What is the brand and model number of your router?

@gadgetgal613   It is a D-Link AC2600.  I have tried all the numbers on the router. (and modem) No luck! How do I find the router name?

Re: NEW TRACPHONE SET UP -HELP !!!!!!!!

@gadgetgal613  and everyone else who wrote to help me, my DH got it set up by bypassing the page that was calling for the router password.  And yes, btw, we had all the paperwork with the default passwords, etc, but the phone would accept them.  I finally just handed the phone to him and said, "see what you can do".

Now, trying to figure it out is something else.  It is completely different than my old phone.  Woman Sad

Thanks again.

That means you have an unsecured network.  People can steal your bandwidth and maybe hack your devices.  The router comes with no default user name and password which is not good.  Use the link I posted and set up your security.
