I have found that it's actually cheaper buying an entire new phone than adding minutes or days.  I believe adding another year equals about the cost of a new phone and then you have triple minutes already, your other minutes carry over (I usually call or even do it online) and I have a new phone.  Your number stays the same if you request it but that's what I do. 

Either HSN or QVC has great deals for TracFones....

I'm expecting a Tracfone TSV within the next couple of weeks. That's how I keep my phone topped up. I just buy a new one once or twice a year.
