My initial review of Tracfone's Samsung Galaxy Sky

Thank you for your review.   Does anyone know why I keep getting "Failed to send" beside texted photos?    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please.  Pretty please???

Try turning on your mobile data before you send photos.  Hope this helps.

Data has to be turned on to send pictures. It took me a while to figure that out.

@Running out of return$,  Im assuming your cell tower signal strength isn't an issue.

When sending photo or bits of audio recording attached to a text, turn on mobile data, send the text, turn mobile data off after transmission is completed.

If I'm at home using wifi, I can send pictures without using data.

I would check your wifi connection to make sure it is active.

@cddh,

That is true only if you attach your pictures to an email,  not a text.

Texts are transmitted via phone lines, and texts with pictures or sound bits attached also require mobile data be turned on during those several seconds of transmission.

Wi-Fi doesn't impact transmission of texts.

I'm sorry Hedge but I just sent a bunch of pictures via text messages yesterday with success.  I never turn on my data when at home - and rarely when away from home.  It has to be an emergency.  I know the pictures were delivered because person verified he got the pictures.  Data was not turned on, is not turned on now - I am looking at that setting as I type.  I don't think it would turn itself on and off by itself.

Quick! Move over to the thread about the haunted/paranormal TracFone @cddh, cuz your phone is doing the impossible!

I guess!  My data doesn't decrease and it is turned off.  I just sent a bunch of yard photos to landscapers for estimates.  They got them fine; no data turned on' using home wifi.  I almost never use my tracfone to send emails - always text when possible.
