My Ipad won't turn on?!.....

{#emotions_dlg.sad} It last worked this morning. Went to work, came home, it won't turn on, (by either button) and won't charge. I know this happened once to my iPod and it needed to be refreshed or whatever they call it...don't recall how, but thought I just had to hold down the button, the apple came on or something...but so far this isn't working on the iPad.

Ipad is a little over a year old.

Before I call Apple, does anyone have any input or advice? Tks.
