My Documents. In windows 8.1

I am still having to 'search' for 'computer' to get to my documents. Can anyone help me with this?

When you get to the desktop, there is a folder on the quick launch bar (on the bottom left) where you can located files and folders. You should be able to make a short cut of the documents folder on the desktop.

Are you using the traditional looking Desktop screen or the new Metro Start Screen? If you are on the Metro Tile screen you should be able to get to the old familiar desktop by clicking the tile in the lower left corner for Desktop. Then there is a folder on the task bar as mentioned above.
