I've had a Motorola tracfone for a year.  Suddenly, my voicemail has changed to "visual voicemail" and I can't get any messages!  I have tried several things to get back to my original voicemail which was already installed on the phone.  Very frustrating!!  Any suggestions???

[ Edited ]

I went through that about six months ago, but I can't remember what I did to fix it. It was an Android issue, not just Motorola.

If I figured it out, you will, too.

As soon as it pops into my head I'll post it.

No pops yet, but have you looked into your list of installed apps to see if visual voicemail is there? It may have been installed with an update.

Re: Motorola voicemail help!!

To turn off visual voicemail you touch your phone icon. Then at the top right tap the three dots stacked atop one another. This should produce a drop-down menu with "settings" as an option. Tap "settings" then a new drop-down menu should appear with "voicemail" as an option. Tap that and you should be able to turn off visual voicemail.

I just received my Motorola Tracfone yesterday but haven't set it up yet, I hope I don't have this problem.

I had that problem with my cell phone a few months ago.  It wasn't a tracfone, it was a Verizon android phone, but I had to call Verizon Customer Service and they had to go into my account and shut it off from there.  Then the representive, put the regular voicemail back on at the same time.

@Jordan2

You will be able to find some detailed YouTube videos about this phone.

Tracfone may have a interactive service manual online.

@Nuttmeg I was considering buying the iPhone SE on Tracfone's website for $199 and then a data plan. I decide to go with the Motorola G Stylus the one that isn't 5G capable. It was $199 at HSN and I get minutes, texts, and data included. I figure I'll keep it at least two years and worry about another phone then.
