I want to know if I buy a MacBook Air if a M2 is the best to buy.

Walmart has new MacBook M1 on sale for $699.00 and awesome reviews as they are new and has the new boxes also.

I use my iPads more than anything but I don't really like my HP computer. I bought it at Staples and it is awesome but after using Apple products Windows laptops don't compare.

When I want to print a test result online from the hospital it will not let you from an iPad. If you snap a photo of the test you can print it but printing takes a lot of ink versus doing it from my computer.
I guess Apple products spoil us.

Last night my bedroom TV started having a five inch band of darkness across the top so I will be looking for a new 43-46" tv. Will be researching that also. We have always had Samsung but LG has been good too. I don't look forward to setting up a new TV though.

Have a great day. Raining in upstate NY today.

I'd check to see what model it is too. No one sells a real Macbook Air for $699 unless it's way out of date or refurbished.

It is a M1. Not sure if I would buy the M1 or M2 yet.

@MKR14, I have a MacBook Air with the M1 chip. I'm like you in that I use my iPad 99% of the time. My MacBook is fast and does what I want it to do. I'm purchased it mainly for storing photos. The M2 just came out when I purchased mine. I decided that I didn't need the newer one. I did get the 512g instead of the 256g. I've been able to do everything on my iPad including printing medical documents. Personally, if they're brand new in the box and you aren't using it a lot, why spend the extra dollars. I only go on it maybe twice a month, if even that.

@MKR14

When I bought my MacBook with the M1chip, I did so because Justin said there's really no difference in speed between the two, just barely.  I'm really happy with mine too.
Whichever you chose, I hope you enjoy it.💝🌸

If you go to Apple's website you can do a comparison of different models.

Re: MacBook Air

[ Edited ]

I too bought my unused, not refurbished M1 MacBook Air from bestbuy right after the M2 came out because the price was lower than usual.  And I love it,

Just recently I took a chance and  bought a refurbished iphone from the Apple store.  I switched the SIM card from  Samsung Tracfone to the refurbished phone with no problems.   Iphone m12 is just like brand spanking new..  Apple replaces the case, battery and I think the glass if there are scratches before they sell refurbished phones.  Anyway, I have to do video calls now days with doctor, etc, and it is so much easier when Ipad, computer and cell phone are all from the same species.

YES!  Buy that Macbook Air M1.   Be prepared, there were one or two things I had to look up on the internet on my lovely Ipad while I was setting up the beautiful Macbook.   One of these days, I need to figure out how to do Tax Returns .  And Justin is great.  I record all the apple shows and they help me alot!..  Thanks Justin.

If you already use Apple products, then the MacBook Air with the M1 chip will probably be a great choice. This laptop will provide you with high performance, long battery life and excellent screen quality. It also integrates better with your iPad, making your experience on both devices more seamless. When it comes to TV, LG and Samsung both offer quality models.

My thought is if it is about money, the M1 machines are great.  If you want to keep it longer, get the newer chip.  Things coming down the road can always use faster technology.
