MACK OR PC?

When I got my first computer everyone said 'don't by apple' so I bought PCs for years. Now it seems Apple is looking pretty good. What happened? I am very curious about Apple Mack book pro. They look expensive but I am wondering what, if anything, should stop me buying Apple Mac?
