[Lucky Charm]

My screen gets incredibly dark when I plug it into a power source.  It's charging, but when I unplug it the screen gets really bright.

It's bass ackwards.

Anyone know what's going on?

You should turn off your tablet when charging. All devices have some sort of adjustment slider for brightness. It can usually be found in the setting. I always check my service guide for this info. You can find SG at company's site.

The slide was all the way to 'dark'.  I slid it up all the way the other way.  Happy camper.

I've been letting my cats use my laptop when we go to bed.

I think they were messing around with the settings.  Grrr.

No I'm serious!

I leave a youtube video on for them when we go to bed.  (It's birds, squirrels, etc.--drives them crazy.) They sit on a blanket and watch for hours.

Check your brightness settings.  It should be found in the control panel under display.  The last Windows computer I had there was a setting for the brightness both on battery and when on AC.  Somehow it might be set for a dimmer brightness when on AC and you can easily change that.
