Access Settings for the apps, etc.
Whenever you're in an app or widget you touch the three-lined icon at the bottom, second from the right. I thought it was a shortcut only to get to some system settings but that's just on the main screen. There are many settings for just about everything!
It seems so obvious now but it took me a while to figure it out.
Maybe it will help someone else

I think it's the app you have. I had checked it out and recall something about a widget you can put on one of your screens. Look in the phone's widget section to see if it's there.

Thanks!

Voicemail
Check if you need to set it up again or people won't be able to leave messages. I didn't expect this because I never had to before when changing phones/porting. I'm not sure if it's due to going from feature phone to Android &/or Verizon.
Another difference is how I access voice mail from a different phone. I used to press * when my outgoing message started and be prompted for PIN#. You press the # for Verizon. I like doing this when trying to perfect my outgoing message because I always dislike the first few I record so it winds up taking me a while.

The issue I have with the text messages is that there is no option to "Reply to All". This just doesn't make sense. The LG840G model had the "Reply to All" option. Why wouldn't they have the "Reply to All' option on the LG39C?? Duh -- you wonder who forget to put in that option on this cell phone. Also it would have been helpful to have the home, menu, settings, etc. keys to light up. They should have a focus group test these cell phones before rolling it out to the public - because I'm sure someone would have thought to have a "Reply to All" option and to have the home, menu, settings, etc. keys to light up.
I agree about the text card. But, as I posted when I reviewed this phone here after getting it in March, texting is Tracfone's new cash cow. In addition, this phone is very different from their previous "3 texts per unit" charge. Each text uses one unit, and it's charged on sending and receiving, whether or not you open the text. That amounts to a very big difference in cost for those who text a lot. Still, as with the data cards (which don't add service time), Tracfone may offer text-only cards in the future if they see there's a customer demand for it.
I still like this phone, and continue to learn new things about it. I've downloaded about 75 songs, and the audio is excellent, even without an external speaker. And, yes, I did find the mechanism to save battery life by disabling photos (I knew there had to be one). Also, I often keep it on "airplane" mode (which also significantly speeds up recharging) to preserve battery life.
IMO, it was a great purchase.

What do you mean by "disabling photos?"

Just go to "Settings" and then "Bandwith Management." Tap on "Load Images" to get rid of the checkmark there. You can always put it back if you want.
I've gone to settings, and I don't see bandwidth management?
