Kindle registration

1. Do you need to register your Kindle with Amazon? Or will they register it and link it to your account when they send it to you?

2. Will you get everything that you buy and send to the Kindle on your Kindle app on your smartphone? Obviously, the Kindle HD has a larger memory than the smartphone.

Sometimes, I will buy a book at Amazon, and it is not on my smartphone, but when I look at my purchases on the Amazon site, it is there. Maybe it is just a space issue.
