Kindle Fire and itunes apps?

This may be a dumb question... I have an IPad and IPhone and have purchased many apps over the years for them. If I happened to purchase a Kindle Fire, could I use the apps that I've already paid for on it? Or do I then need to buy a different "kindle version" of the app? Thank you for a response!
