Thinking of purchasing a Kindle Fire  tablet for older relative who had one which died.....

Well, does your relative want a new one ... was he or she satisfied with the old one.   Then, of course, Yay ...

I've had two Kindles and, frankly, wouldn't want to be without it ... love my books, the internet, Prime videos and movies ... what else can I say?  Oh yes, customer service has always been great.

I say yay!  My Kindle is an old one, an HDX, and it's great.  If they would ever make a new HDX, I might consider buying one.  Until then, I'll stick with this one.  It's awesome!

Yay depending on what she likes to do on tablets. I liked the fire tablet but only use it for reading and games when traveling. Did not really care for the Safari browser.

Of course!  A tablet is a great tool, and a fun toy.  And a Fire is a great example of that.
