The issue I have here with my old Kindle Fire is a javascript issue. If I disable javascript before coming here the site works fine. With javascript enabled, I get locked up with a scripting error and the site crashes. It's easy to disable it though. From the Fire browser you click on the menu button (that upside down U with the three horizontal bars in it) then click on settings, then scroll down to where it says "enable javascript" and uncheck that box. Then the site works fine.

I also use my amazon app - no problem to order anything from amazon or just peruse the products and I have cloud reader app that allows me to buy books (same as a kindle app) from Amazon as well, and I even buy TV shows I can watch on my computer from amazon . What brand of tablet do you have? That may be your problem.
HH - You open the QVC app and then what do you click to get into the forums? I can't find any link to the forums from the app???

Same here because browsers are the only way I know how to reach the forums. But Happy Housewife said she gets to the forums via her QVC app, which is not the same as the Web pages we get to via browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.) I would like to use the QVC app on my Android and i-devices if someone tells me how to reach the forums from it.

All websites will eventually catch up, it just will take time. You won't need a special address - the right page will be shown based on whatever device you are using - desktop computer, phone, tablet, etc. The web page knows what type of device you are using and will show you the page they designed for that device. You may not like the design of the mobile page, however, so then you can often select "show me the desktop version"
It is called responsive design. In my job at a national non-profit, we have just begun the process to change to this type of design and we only have 40 or so pages. I don't see that the Q has a mobile design yet, other than its app.
I agree in general, moto, although QVC has never adapted their Community to be fully compatible with iPads and iPhones. With all these years, and the fact that they sell them, they should've been able to catch up by now.
Regarding responsive design, they do recognize a mobile device browsing on their shopping site and they usually default to the mobile version -- but you're right, they have the option for the user to switch to desktop if that's their preference.
His Grace, I'm sorry you're having problems. I know it's frustrating. Are you sure you have the most recent software on your devices, and you've deleted cookies, cache, website data before coming to the forums?
That's the most frustrating part, for me. They sell these devices they have not made the forums compatible with. The Community still feels like an afterthought, which leaves me feeling like I'm not valued as a customer except for the minutes I'm actually giving QVC my money.

You don't really get the "full" site when you use a smart phone, iPhone, tablet or iPad. You can use a browser and go to the Web page but no matter whether it's the mobile version or full version you don't have all the same features you have if you use a laptop or desktop computer.
I'm on my laptop and as I type in this "Post a Reply" section I have access to icons for inserting smiley emoticons, formatting text, inserting hyperlinks, etc. Do you see those on your Kindle or iPad? I have an Android phone, Nook HD Color ( both using Chrome) and an iPad (using both Chrome and Safari) and I don't get those formatting "buttons" when on those devices.
Also, if you want your text to show up normal size and use paragraphs when you type on your iPad you have to insert HTML code before each paragraph, < p > or you won't have any new paragraphs and your font will be smaller.
Anyway, those are some of the differences you notice if you go back and forth between a full computer and a tablet/smartphone.
But in my post I was specifically asking HH about the QVC app. That app is not a Web page you view in a browser. It is an app you download from Google PlayStore or iTunes. It should make it easier to shop and view QVC information. It is dedicated to QVC only, like the Facebook app is for Facebook only.
But so far I've found it to be a complete waste of time and memory. I can't get to the forums while using it and it's hard to find products too. If HH knows how to get to the forums via the QVC app I want to learn!

Hi.
I have a Kindle Fire HD 8.9. When you are on the website, at the bottom of your screen there are some icons. There's one that looks like a square with lines, touch that and you will receive options, one of which is "Request Another View." It will show choices for Automatic, Desktop or Mobile. Hope that helps.

I'm accessing the this thread through the Pale Moon browser on my PC. Out of curiosity, I opened up the QVC app on my Kindle Fire HDX. There is no means provided in it to access the forums or any of the "community" aspects of the website. The drop-down menu in the upper right corner will get you to the sign-in page, the program guide, reminders, order status, account, help, contact QVC, feedback, TOS, Privacy statement, Safe Harbor statement and Third Party Licensing statement.
Looks like the accessing the actual website via a browser on an Android device is the only way to get to the forums.
