Is the pin compatable with lifeproof cases?

I have the lifeproof case on my iphone4s, will this fit without an adaptor or do I need an adaptor like I do with the halo. I don't need an adaptor when I use the cord that came with or phones. It seems the pin casing diameter are different sizes. Wondering if this is more compatable.
