Is it safe to plug a surge protector on another surge protector?

I don't want to cause a fire hazard. One surge protector has only two items: power supply for my recliner and lamp. The other one: two cell phones and IPad?

You're OK.    (The maximum wattage should be on each surge unit,  and you are nowhere even close)....

Just make sure you don't trip over it (!!)

@Desertdi : Thank you. Appreciate your help. The other day we had issues with our tv and cable. Plus I had lower back issues. The surge protector for the tv is on the floor and really had trouble when talking to the cable company and trying to unplug everything. I found a real narrow three cube self with height of 39 inches to get the surge protectors off the floor. Decided easier to have one extra surge protector just for the tv and cable box . Now everything is not tangled together, easier to reach and no issues with bending or tripping over .

Did you know that surge protectors will last for about 3 to 5 years? They need to be replaced periodically b/c they lose their effectiveness. The bad news is that there's no way of telling if one is good or bad so just replace the thing at least every 5 years.

@SilleeMee : Thank you and learned something today. Need to research surge protectors and replace the one for the tv and cable box.
