I was going to take a picture of the small amount of snow we are getting and my camera is set to video for some reason and I can't get it to the camera setting. I touch the camera on the screen and nothing happens. I reset my iPad and tried it again and it didn't help. Any suggestions? I mean I touch where it says photo.

Had this problem when I was helping my niece take photos for getting info to consignment places for a house she had inherited. I was almost done ( an hour later ) when all of a sudden it went I to video mode. Like you, I tried everything to no avail. Last week I happened to stop by Best Buy and they were having an intro to iPad. I stood by and soon your very question came up. If I heard correctly, you drag your finger from one element "video" to the other "photo" -- haven't tried it myself yet, but HTH.

Well, I guess I touched something right accidentally and it's back to photo. I hope it doesn't do that again.

You slide (drag) your finger between symbols ( icons). This was a change that comes from the latest iOS upgrade. Just practice a little until you get the feel of it. I had the same problem!

Tapping on camera or video to change between the two doesn't work. You need to scroll, or slide, you finger between the two to switch modes.
