In the event that Irene hits eastern Massachusetts. What precautions do I take for...

My electronics. IE computers printer, modem and router.

Would I be wise to shut off power to modem and router and all else connected to power strip!

All is plugged in to power strip. Should I just shut off power strip??

I always shut down my computers at the end of the day. My router and modem are always left on !

Sorry for the stupid question. Any input would be appreciated

Not sure what Irene will bring. Looks like strong winds to eastern Ma. and heavy rains to west. I live in the east but not all that close to the shore line !

I hope we don't loose power. We have a sump pump in the basement but, no battery back up.

Luckily basement is only used for storage of junk that's been there awhile.

My hubby and I live ( in my childhood home with my Dad) and he( MY DAD doesn't throw anything away. It all gets put in the basement . Neatly but, never the less it's just unwanted/unneeded stuff LOL.

My sisters and I will be doing a major clean out within the next few weeks. Yard sale is going to be planned and then a dumpster for the rest. My Dad seemed ok with it. I told him today !

He was in agreement that it's just junk ! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} Wink

THANX
