During today's Amazon Prime Day if you order something priced $20 or more through your Amazon Echo you can save an additional $10. I just ordered the Amazon Fire TV Stick which is on sale already for $24.99 and got it for $14.99 ($16.04 once tax is added in) by ordering through my Echo. It's a pretty neat little option for saving more money than you're already saving on Prime Day. If you find something you want, use your Echo to order it.
I just said "Alexa, order a Fire TV Stick" and was told first to open the app to enable purchasing which I did, then repeated the process and she took the order, asked for my confirmation code (a four digit number you put in the app) and the order went through. She told me what the order total would be and I'll be getting it Thursday. Neat!

Yes, a good deal! I might try that today with something. I'm not sure what I'll order. I need to shop!

The challenge is always narrowing down the list of options of things to buy. The Fire TV Stick at that price though was just too irresistable.

I just bought the Fire Stick too! I ordered through the Echo and saved the additional $10, plus I had a $5 Amazon credit so with tax it's costing me about $11. That's pretty good since it normally costs $40 plus tax.
I hope it's easy to set up (it looks like it is from a video I watched).

Excellent! That means there will be two of us trying to get them hooked up on/about Thursday! It doesn't look all that hard and I've got two free HDMI ports on my HDTV so we'll see how it works. My older Sony Blu-Ray disc player has some online features, but not nearly as many channels as you get with the Fire TV Stick, so for $15 I couldn't pass it up.

I keep trying to order the Instant Pot through Alexa and she doesn't seem to come up with the one thats the Deal of the Day...maybe those don't qualify for the extra 10 dollars off...DW

The best thing to do is call Amazon and ask them!

I'll let you set it up first and then you can tell me how easy/complicated it was to do!![]()

No problem! My mail and UPS both come around eleven so with any luck I should have it up and running by noon Thursday. From what I've read, the biggest challenge is getting the batteries in the remote. It looks pretty simple after that. (Remind me I said that!)

My Fire TV Stick has arrived and been installed and is working very, very well. I used the HDMI extender even though I don't need it with this TV as that way I have it already in place for a future TV if I need it. If I filed it away someplace, I'd forget where I put it and have to buy a new extender, so with one already with it, I just put it on even though I didn't need it. The setup was fast and easy. (I cheated and watched a few youtube videos on installing it beforehand also.)
