IS THERE SUCH A CABLE ... AND WHAT'S IT CALLED?

Hubby has a new smart TV but has some things to learn. We're getting older and trying to keep up with technology lol.

First of all, he has a lot of movies on flash drives he trades with friends at work. He wants to be able to watch this on his new TV.

Is there some kind of "pigtail" type cable he can buy? To plug one end into a usb port on the back of the TV and then plug his FD into the other end and watch his movie on the tv screen?

I've tried doing a search, but I don't know what it's called. "Pigtail Cable" isn't bringing up what I'm looking for.... teeheee

Another way to do this is to plug the Flashdive into your laptop, and then connecting that to the TV with an HDMI cable. ( I have to use an adapter from HDMI to laptop in addition to this.) Then I use the TV as an external monitor with sound.
