Purchased new IPad last year. At first thought problems and issues were related to the QVC site. Received messages: Safari cannot open page because connection lost. Last few days error messages on other internet sites like - WiFi not connected but settings showed connected. Checked with DH and he said router and WiFi connected. Checked with cable company and no problems. I have checked under settings and cleared history, signed off and tried Apple sign on. Having trouble posting this shows autosaved while typing. Trying to make this clear. Anyone have similar issues or suggestions. Thanks. Southern Bee

Have you restarted by pressing the on button and home button at the same time. Do this till the Apple page comes up , then in a few minutes you can restart. This usually solves my iPad problems.

@SouthernBee. Yes I’ve been getting messages like that lately. Started not to long ago. I googled and it said to go to settings and turn WiFi off, then turn it on. It does work for me, but I still don’t know why it does it.

I have an iPad, but don’t use Safari; it’s horrible. I use Google Chrome, and much happier with that.

My internet is through Spectrum and was down from Saturday night until this morning. When I used my iPhone as a “hotspot” and looked online, Spectrum had huge areas that were out of service throughout the country. Could that have been the issue?

have had an issue like that,
did a search and there is a fix,
search for ipad dropping wifi or similar terms, and you should find the fix . eventually it resolved
