IPad, can receive but not send email

Do I dare delete my email address and just start over?

sometimes glitches happen, delete your email account from the iPad and reinstall

Before you do that, try turning your iPad completely off and then back on and see if that fixes the problem.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: IPad, can receive but not send email

You can safely go into the settings, delete an email account, and then add it back.

I've done it many times. I have several email accounts on my iPad (for personal use, business, "throw-away" for coupons/sales/etc.) and sometimes one of them gets a wee bit flaky.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

As gidgetgoeshawaiian said, Completely shutting off the device and rebooting sometimes clears up problems. (Press the hold button a few seconds until you see "Slide to power off" and move the slider to the right. Turn it back on by pressing the hold button until the Apple logo appears.)

Re: IPad, can receive but not send email

Thanks, everyone for your replies.

I deleted the Comcast email account. Replaced it again. Then realized that when I had changed my password, it was required to change it on outgoing email separately.

Didn't know just changing it on the email account was enough.

Now I know, and I can send email again.
