I downloaded it early yesterday and have been dropping out of apps like crazy all day.  I couldn't stay connected long enough to watch our live evening news tonight.

@Kachina624, I haven't experienced apps crashing or a problem with the WiFi connection.   Did you close all the apps in the background and  try a "hard reset" of the iPad?  Also, sometimes going into Settings and using "Reset Network Settings" will fix connectivity issues.

I have had some freezing/crashing but so far nothing bad enough to require a reset. The new News app is a bit crashy, but it's probably less the app than the site interacting through it.

@Moonchilde, It might be that some of the apps haven't updated completely to be compatible with iOS 9.  Always hard to say in the first days after a major upgrade.

It's a brand new Apple app, dooB.  But I have always had trouble with any of the non-Apple newsfeed apps, chronically. You click on a story and it never opens, or there is nothing to read/nowhere to go. The apps routinely "gather" incompatible material. It's frustrating, but not really new. Just.grrrr. So hard to say if my new issues are the Apple app or the same old gathering from an uncooperative site.

I check my apps daily to see if there are any update ready to download.....just a habit with me......not sure why I've been so lucky with my IOS downloads, but I've never had an issue with any of them......hope my luck holds.

Re: IOS9 ready for download......

Is it just me?  Most people don't sit around with their  i-devices plugged in. So what good is "Hey Siri" the vast majority of the time when you're not plugged in? Yeah, okay, it uses more battery, but I think people know that (duh). If they want people to use/have fun with this feature they need to enable use unplugged.

Thank you so much for your reply.  Nothing worked so I finally called Apple Support and they said to wait until the new update comes out in the next day or so and try to update it again.  It is so frustrating because the update worked for the first day then went bad.  Hopefully the update to 9 point sumthing will work since I never backed it up and don't really want to do a factory restart.  For sure I will be backing up my iPad in the future!

If you don't have much on your phone, you can backup to iCloud.  You get 5GB free which isn't enough for me.  I haven't done an offical backup (on my list of things to do today) but, I have copied the photos on my iPhone to my computers.  They really are the only thing of importance I have on it.  Good luck and I hope you don't have to do a reset before you get a backup done.

I've had this issue on my ipad as well.  On my phone all of a sudden my icloud is full?  Nothing had changed as far as adding anything.

There always seems to be a few glitches in new major updates, the bug fixes come shortly after as a rule.
