I installed the new updates as soon as they were released.
I always do, but I have a background in IT and I also occasionally participate in beta testing software and apps -- not everyone wants to do this, and that's understandable.

The current version -- iOS 15.0.1 and iPadOS 15.0.1-- corrected some of the problems reported with v. 15.0.

I'm only seeing a few minimal bugs with v. 15.0.1.

(Things like an occasional email draft crashing mid-edit.)

For those of you experiencing problems, please remember to regularly perform a sync / backup of your device.
This process can clear up glitches and it also removes old diagnostic / analytics data thus freeing up substantial space.😊

Re: IOS 15 update erroneously reports your storage is full. WAIT to update,

@dooBdoo   I don't have IOS 15.0.1 available to me for upgrade on my iPhone 11.  I am using IOS 14.8 right now, and it tells me I am up to date.  At the bottom of the screen it says "Upgrade to IOS 15."

I have always used Automatic Updates on my iPhone, but when this message was posted about the problem with the update, I turned Automatic Updates off.

@NickNack, Your iPhone model is compatible with iOS 15 (screenshot from support.apple.com):

When you go to

Settings-->General-->Software Update,

are you saying that it's not allowing you to download and install?

@dooBdoo   It has IOS 15 available to download, but I haven't done it because of the message posted here that it erroneously reports that your storage is full.

You mentioed that IOS 15.0.1 corrected some of the problems that IOS 15 had and that you had downloaded that.  It's IOS 15.0.1 that doesn't show up on my phone.  Would I have to download IOS 15 for IOS 15.0.1 to become available to me?

I am afraid of installing IOD 15 due to the problems.

@NickNack, Your "Software Update" feature will identify what your phone needs and will use the proper method to update the iPhone to the most current version (15.0.1) with the most current bug fixes.

Be sure, though, to do that backup / sync first.

(For what it's worth, the storage problem didn't affect everyone -- it didn't happen to me with either of my devices.)😊

Re: IOS 15 update erroneously reports your storage is full. WAIT to update,

Thank you @dooBdoo .  I checked to make sure my back-up was up-to-date and am installing it now.  It says it's 15.0.1.  I really appreciate your help.

Is anyone still getting false reports that their storage is full on IOS 15?

Re: IOS 15 update erroneously reports your storage is full. WAIT to update,

There is an update that was just released today--15.0.2.  Supposedly bug fixes.  I plan to dowload and install overnight.
