I was Looking for a Tablet TSV for Labor Day, not a TV!! The guide said Tech

Have I missed a tablet TSV for back to school???   Any recommendations, not Apple or Amazon, for a budget friendly, great performing, cool camera tablet???

I got my tablet "free" when I bought my iPhone from AT&T.  It's an ASUS ... works great.

I guess tech means televisions to QVC show coordinating staff.  A television is an electronic no matter how much wi-fi internet capacity it has.

@mizrich I have seen mostly notebooks presented on shopping channels in recent weeks for back to school. I think they are pushing notebooks because in the retail industry, sales are sluggish for them.  HSN showed an RCA tablet on Saturday, but I did not watch the entire presentation, so can tell you no more.  It might be a weekend special.

QVC has really cut back on the sales of electronics, thank goodness.  Their last couple of quarterly reports showed losses in that area.  Now if we could just manage to get losses in Christmas paraphernalia.

@mizrich

"Budget friendly"?="One man's junk is another man's gold"!

You looking only for flex pays? Any more limitations? Guess I have more questions before I would even attempt to suggest a tablet, right? Right!

@Kachina624

Your "thank goodness" is the reason I even check my Dish Guide for QVC. The fewer electronics, the less chance I will DVR this network. Their prices aren't even close to either of the other shopping networks I DVR.

Higher prices/very little free shipping, and I am charged state tax, when neither of the others have that charge. There is a reason the other network has tons of electronic shows, and it is not because they do not sell.

That network has quite a few "budget friendly" tablets from which to choose. I watched the RCA presentation and it looked like a good price, and it came with a case and keyboard. It is a 10" tablet.

RCA many moons ago used to be my "go to" brand, but that was when they were either owned or directly affiliated with Hitachi. I learned back in the 1990's how far downhill their products dropped. Unfortunately for me, it was by personal experience.

I personally will pay the extra bucks to get a brand I know that is the top, or close, in Androids. Nothing "i" is worth just a name to me, so Android will continue to be my choice.

Schools have already started back in most of the ountry (some have been in session for almost a month now).  Back-to-school electronics sales passed weeks ago.

If you do not wnat to order directly from the manufacturer or Amazon and want to take advantage of Easy Pay, you should either wait for another TSV or, if you need one immediately, go through the tablets they urrently have and see what is available on Easy Pay now.

@hckynut  I surely do like the Samsung S2 pad I got last November.  It's just a fraction smaller than my iPad2 but half the weight and lightening fast.  My only problem...they downloaded a software update and insisted I install it.  I resisted for weeks until I couldn't install an app I wanted without the software update.  I was immediately locked out of my device.

I called Samsung tech support and was told I'd have to reset the device back to new.  We did that and I retained most of my apps but lost all my pictures, books in Kindle app and music.  Also my user ID/password is totally messed up so I can't download apps or do much of anything but QVC.  Woe is Me!  I hate tech troubles.

Apple is introducing new products this week. You may want to look for an iPad mini. Apple sells refurbished products on their site. These products come with a regular warranty.
