I need some help concerning iPads

I just purchased item no. E223367 and I need to make sure if it is the lastest Ipad, it's so confusing with 3rd generation, 4th generation etc. The rep I spoke to was unsure as well...and I did not want to pass up the opportunity at the great price I saw, but it is costly and I really want to make sure, it's a gift for our daughter and I'd hate to dissappoint her. I would be so grateful to anyone's expertise on this question...thanking you in advance for your help...
