If you follow those instructions on your laptop then it will show you how to view your wifi password. After you get that password then you can enter it on your Amazon tablet. I also posted a link for Microsoft's instructions which say the same thing here:

In that link there is a video which shows the process of retrieving a wifi password from a Windows device such as your laptop or a desktop if you are using that also.

 

Wifi passwords cannot be retrieved from android devices such as regular tablets and smart phones. I don't know why that is but wifi passwords are locked on android devices.
