I need help setting up my AMAZON FIRE 7

I purchased the Amazon Fire 7 from QVC & I’m trying to set it up so I can use it... ... it’s asking me for my WIFI password & I don’t know it ... I have other equipment that connects to my WIFI automatically when I turn it on so I haven’t got a clue where I can find it ..... would it be stored somewhere on my ipad or my phone?

Thanks for your help .... 😃

Call Customer Care for your Wi-Fi company; they will walk you through this.  Next time, write down your password.  For many years I've had a small pocket sized address book dedicated to passwords and accent info (my name and address are not on this and I use a simple code to disguise passwords/accnts further).

@patbz    Good luck with that.  Century Link certainly wasn't any help in assisting me to retrieve it.

Your other equipement connects automatically because they were

initially connected using the wifi password.  Most newer routers have the default user name and password located on the router itself.  Look at either the bottom or side of the router and see if the information is there.

That's where mine is, on the router, but I needed to ask the tech, who asked me for it, to hold on while I went and found a magnifying glass to see it a few weeks ago when I needed to call Frontier about a problem.

My router has a button on it which I press and that re-sends my wi-fi passcode to my devices.

After you look on the router, when you go into the site to make your own name and password for your own security, you may want to set two WiFis.  One for 5 and one for the older.  My Kindle Paperwhite will only accept the old.

It is a hoot when you are somewhere to see what neighborhood names are.  Some folks have a lot of imagination but really should not use their dog's breed if it is rare 🐩

I rent my router from Spectrum and the wifi password is printed on that router on a label.

You definitely need your wifi password.  Your existing devices might reset and you'll need to reenter the password  then too.

Who set up your wifi?  Do you have the orginial paperwork/box - maybe that person wrote the password down.
