Yes m'am, it's wonderful.  I use my home's WiFi and it streams the movies beautifully.   I also Skype with some family and that's always fun (well, when I don't mind being seen! )

I ened up going with the Samsung Galaxy 10 that I listed above, pretty good reviews and the Q had it for 6 easy pays and 279.00, I think today the price is back up to 329.00, got in just in time!

Re: Finally decided on one - listed below

I'm confused. You want a tablet so you don't use up your data on your phone.  If you would be using the data on your phone, that means you will have no wifi.

So you need a tablet with 3g or 4g.  You will then need to buy data for your tablet.  You do know that, right?

If you are going to have wifi where you go, you would not use data on your phone.

I just wanted to clarify that in case you didn't know.

I personally love my Kindles.  I have one with wifi and one without.  I find I do use my phone so I don't have to buy data for my Kindle HD so I won't buy another one with the 3g.

I have straighttalk on my phone and get 5 GB of data every month for free.  So that works for me.

Anyway, I just wanted you to realize that if you would use data on your phone, you would use data on your tablet.

Unless of course you just want to read or do things offline.

we do have wifi where we stay on vacation but when I carried my phone around with me and would access sites, looking up places to go, food reviews and such and looking in on our home video camera (we have dogs with a care taker) I used my data real quickly on my cell.

No, I didn't realize I would have to BUY data the same way I do my cell phone?? I thought it would work similar to a laptop? No? If this is the case, I may cxl my order and just bring my laptop with me.  I called cust. service at the Q and they said this is a Wifi tablet and you do NOT use or add a data plan to it at all, you just connect to Wifi... That's what I want it for.

Sandgirl, your phone has wifi capabilities...no need to use data if you're somewhere with wifi.  Just turn off your data, and turn on your wifi.

I must be doing something wrong then.  I have a Galazy S5 phone and I have the VERY lowest data plan since I never use it, I don't run many apps or anything.  I did have my walking app working though and Facebook and it just seemed like everytime I turned around I was getting a notice that my data was almost gone and I needed to call verizon and add to it.  That months Phone bill was 250.00!! When it is normally about 100.00 for both mine and my husbands phones.

I'm not familiar with your phone, but most androids are set up the same way.  Go to your system settings, and you should see toggles or icons (something) for data and wifi.  Turn off your data any time you're not using it.  Since you have wifi at home, use your phone's wifi there.  I very rarely use my data...only if I need to use my internet and aren't near wifi.  Keep your wifi and data turned off to save on battery usage.

Did you have your data turned on also?  If so, your phone was using data first instead of wifi.  That's what phone companies do.  Unless you're somewhere where there is no wifi, turn your data off...and keep it off...until you need to use the internet somewhere there is no wifi connections.

For example, my data is turned off all the time unless I need to look a recipe up while I'm at the grocery store or something like that.  As soon as I'm done, I turn it right back off again.  While I'm at the hospital, I turn on my wifi and use their free connection to surf the internet.  When I leave there, I turn my wifi off again.  I only turn on the type of connectivity I need and when done...turn it back off again.
