Some of my texts come thru with no problem , no issue. Other one I get a message that says multimedia message and a place to click download - ok , I get that the message is too large so it needs to be downloaded but when I click download nothing happens. It doesn't download - unless it is going somewhere I am not aware of. Can anyone help me ? It is an LG Power tracfone - android.

This is a simple fix.  You need to go into Settings and turn on mobile data.  Then you should be able to see the entire text.  It's probably a picture of some sort!  Hope this helps.

Thanks - I don't have mobile data on when I'm at home and it's on WiFi, but I'll try that. Thanks again.

I have to turn wi-fi off and turn on mobile data to download on my Tracfone.

Hi @151949. Your phone needs you to tap on the Mobile Data in either the phone's settings or in Quick Settings. Just tap it lightly with your fingertip. It will light up. Now your phone is ready to do anything that requires using data, including sending and reciving pictures and little sound bits.

When Mobile Data lights up you can tap that text's "Download" and wait a bit, the picture or sound bite will come through on the text. Got that? It will be there on the text, not in some other mysterious lost storage in the phone somewhere.

Now, to conserve your data, tap the Mobile Data in the settings again and it will go dark as it was before.

I have to do this with group texts that don't have any sound or pictures to them too.  They might even only have a word or two.  This is a real pain but the real frustration is I don't get a notification if I get this type of text, .  If I don't notice it for a couple days then the download expires.  Ugh!
