I can get neither. Live in the woods, too many trees. Only option is Comcast and we are at their mercy as the costs go up and up. Good thing they provide great customer service or I would be calling it quits all together.

We have had Dish for 10 years and are very satisfied with them. Our neighbor has Direct and has had a lot of trouble with them and is switching over to Dish. One time we had a problem and I phoned and it was fixed while I was on the phone with them. As for the loss of channels it has to do with contracts ending. I am wondering if it has to do with the State and area that one lives in that makes a difference. As I said we have Dish and will be staying with them. In our area they are cheaper than Direct and also offer more stations.

Edited to say that yes, it was Dish that CNN was not on for a while.
